How Ga Jelas™ Brand is Adapting in time of Crisis!?!

Coronavirus pandemic has severely weakened the economy, not only for Indonesian creative Industry but also for almost all business sectors globally. As the emerging industry player in the creative sectors, Ga Jelas™ brand has also been impacted by the crisis which lead us to have significant questions on how to respond and how to decide the next step to navigate the company amid the pandemic.


Despite all the challenges, we recognized the crisis as an opportunity to pivot the business. It is an urgent moment for us to have a closer look at our main target groups, and bring about a more humane approach on our contents.


In the first chapter of the crisis, it was in March - May 2020, we postponed some live-events activities with the hope that the pandemic will end around June. We focus on building a continued and long lasting relationship with our audiences by embracing them with caring interactions as we understand that the crisis is a tough game for everybody. We are blessed with our strong internal team that fueled our content with passion and empathy. We believe that there is no better cure to power through than good humor! Supported by our beloved partners and collaborators, Ga Jelas™ launched several charity programs to help doctors and medical staff. We have worked together with TOKOME.ID alongside various Indonesian artists to create a donation campaign using t-shirt and merchandise sales for JagoPreventif and MillenialFest's movement to help keep our frontline doctors, nurses and essentials workers to have good health and stamina.



We also collaborated with Damn I Love Indonesia, a leading Indonesian apparel brand, released a special edition t-shirt #IndonesiaKuat . The theme of the design is #Indonesiakuat, to inspire the people of Indonesia to keep on being strong-willed in the face of adversary, as well as stay safe and stay healthy! We donated the profit we earned to support the creative economy industry and Indonesian medical staff.



As the crisis got more serious which led the Indonesian economy to jump down on a recession, we immediately know that we need to take a big step on breaking the old rules to survive. Having a limitation of face to face interactions, we attempt to expand more activity in reaching out our audiences. In August 2020, we officially presented our first WEBINAR Class in collaboration with Komikin and Tokome. Thank you to those who joined the class!! It was an interactive session that boosted a lot of inspirations for us as well. We have also created a few interactive content for social media, such as Gif. Games, Instagram filters, IG Live session with various Indonesian artists, and creators, and even launched our first short animation series!


Ga Jelas™ brand was our new brand expansion that was officially launched at the end of 2020. Thanks to our amazing partners, LabX.co who were connecting us to Stayhoops and managing super interesting collaborations: NEON CITY by the end of 2020.

2020 has been a tough year, it was our fans, our community, our partners and collaborators that help us survive. Keep moving, and let’s make 2021 a new start for more innovation and creativity!
