In this era, we live in a world where everyone connects digitally. As a comic creator, we sure can’t deny that digital technology helps us in exploring creative inspirations as well as promoting our comic. Many artists are now utilizing the platform to showcase their creative works and get engaged with their audiences. There are a lot of digital comics all around the internet, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, but what makes comics in social media even more special? Comics can increase consumer awareness of certain brands and build motivation for the reader to know more about the brands. This is how brands start having interest in promoting their products through comics.

Brand will value your comics as their alternatives media to do promotion activities by looking at:
Your target audiences, means that the brand’s target market is the same as your audiences so it could bring a mutual benefit.
Your portfolios or achievements which will ease the brand to consider whether your comics suit the brand identity!
And last but not least, an added value offered by your platforms that will increase the collaboration opportunities. Therefore, you need to create more content variations, or maybe try a new style. Invite your audiences to have engaging conversations with your comic’s character so you become more and more relevant to them.

Okay, you may be wondering how do we attract brands to have interest in collaborating with our comics. Without any further ado, here are some Ga Jelas tips for you~
Numero Uno: Consistency Is Key!
Building trust from the audience needs a lot of effort and time, so to help you get to that point, you need to stay consistent in what you do. Upload your content regularly to make the audience aware of your comics and then as time goes by you’ll grab brands’ attention.
Don’t you ever, EVER, EVEEEEERR let your social media activity on pause because it will reduce your digital visibility. Having interactions with your audience and developing a good relationship with them is necessary to build a loyal audience. Besides, consistency helps to shape the audience’s content consumption habits. Only when you have a strong audience base, then brands will start to consider your platform as their promotion channel platform.
NOTE : try to create a schedule for your social media activity so it will help you in managing your content production flow. You don’t have to upload your comics daily but at least you have a fixed schedule!
Number Two: Networking

Not only beneficial for your personal life, networking is also important to expand your opportunity. Remember that sometimes the best opportunity comes unpredicted. Besides, building connections will also bring your comics to be known by many. Who knows, maybe your connection could help you to collaborate with a super awesome project you always dream of? IMAGINE what will happen. Amazing right?? so, what are you waiting for? go out and GO CONNECT WITH PEOPLEEEEE!!
Number Three: Innovation
Creativity is the key when it comes to arts. Don't be stuck with just one type of content (or social media platform) - even if it’s super successful in driving people’s attention, there will be a moment when the same content is no longer relevant. Creativity is a matter of cultivating a curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. From there, you will find the way to keep innovating.
While you focus on becoming better, Brands will automatically glance at us.
We at Ga Jelas build innovative culture where we can make more diverse creative works. Not only producing comics, we are also making animation videos, merchandising, and activating the characters for many engaging digital campaigns (btw, a lil promotion wont hurt, so check our Instagram account @/komikgajelas HEHEHE)
Number Four: HUSTLE
Remember that every successful creator always starts from 0 and they always work their ass off to get where they are now. So don’t feel bad for working your heart out on making stories, illustrations, and comics! Cus everything will be paid at the end. ALWAYS WORK HARD (smartly) so you will get yourself ready when the right opportunities finally come. However, working hard doesn’t mean you can’t rest. It’s fine to take a break and refresh your brain, because only after that, you will gain power to keep making progress.
After everything you’ve done, you may still not be seen by brands. Keep this in your mind that every good thing needs a process, so please be PATIENT. Try to evaluate your work, social media, and other things needed, and start over! The result may not as quick as we think, but just DON’T GIVE UP OKAYY?? PLEASE. Keep making progress ;)
So, always remember : Create. Expand. Innovate. Hustle. Patient. Love. GOOD LUCKKKKK! ‘DDD
